Installation Instructions
- Make sure that Thunderbird is not running.

Locate the installation folder of Thunderberd (henceforth
%THUNDERBIRD_HOME%).
At Windows, this folder's path is C:\Program
Files\Mozilla Thunderbird.

At Windows, locate the file
myspell.dll in the folder
%THUNDERBIRD_HOME%\components and rename it to myspell.dll.bak.
At Linux, locate the file libmyspell.so in the folder %THUNDERBIRD_HOME%/components
and rename it to libmyspell.so.bak.

Depending on your system, download the compressed archive of
Thunderbird Speller for Windows or
Thunderbird Speller for Linux.

Unzip the archive you just downloaded in the folder
%THUNDERBIRD_HOME%/components.

Start Thunderbird and select File > New > Message. In the body of the new message type-in some
misspelled Greek and English words. Thunderbird flags the misspelled words with red underline. By
right-clicking on a flagged word you can see the suggestions of Neurolingo's Speller.
De-installation Instructions
- Make sure that Thunderbird is not running.
- At Windows, locate the files
myspell.dll,
nlspell.dll
and nldicts.lex in the folder
%THUNDERBIRD_HOME%\components and delete them. At Linux, locate the files
libmyspell.so, nlspell.so and
nldicts.lex in the folder %THUNDERBIRD_HOME%/components
and delete them.

Recover the old spelling engine. At Windows, locate the file
myspell.dll.bak
in the folder %THUNDERBIRD_HOME%\components and rename it to
myspell.dll. At Linux, locate the file libmyspell.so.bak
in the folder %THUNDERBIRD_HOME%/components and rename it to
libmyspell.so.
