Installation Instructions

To run Thesaurus Browser (thesaurus.jar) from your hard disk, your machine must be Java enabled. Thesaurus Browser requires Java 1.5.0 or newer.

Install on MS Windows

Download the available installer and run it.

Install on other platforms

Download thesaurus.jar and store it in a directory of your choice. To launch Thesaurus Browser, from within a shell window go to this directory and give the following instruction:

    java -jar thesaurus.jar

On Mac you can also launch Thesaurus Browser by double clicking thesaurus.jar.
